Dyson was founded in 1991 by charismatic inventor and businessman James Dyson, who was tired of the way his vacuum cleaner would lose suction over time, owing to its bag-based technology. Taking inspiration from a trip to a local sawmill where he witnessed sawdust being cleaned up by air cyclones, he set about creating a better sort of vacuum cleaner.

Today, Dyson is one of the most successful technology brands in the world, selling their signature vacuum cleaners around the world in corded, cordless and handheld models, ideal for any area of the house. One of their newest innovations centres around a ball, which allows the vacuum to move in any direction smoothly.

Dyson have recently branched out into ‘bladeless’ fans and air conditioners, and innovative hair driers, which are said to be the best on the market. You can even purchase a robot vacuum cleaner from Dyson!

Sometimes it can seem like getting a clean floor is far more hassle than it’s worth. Traditional vacuum cleaners are prone to regular failure owing to their use of antiquated bags or inefficient motors. Unfortunately, this means that many of us see a vacuum cleaner as a regular purchase, one that’s surprisingly expensive too.

Dyson’s pitch is simple: spend a little more and get rock solid reliability and performance. On top of that, you get a five-year guarantee covering the repair or replacement (at Dyson’s discretion) of your Dyson machine if it is found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship within the five-year period.

That’s a superb deal, and one which extends to the wider Dyson product family, including the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum, Dyson Air Purifiers and Dyson Fans and Headers, not to mention their lights and hand dryers.
